Voltaic

VoltaicBjörk is ready to release a new collection called Voltaic, the celebration of Volta and the Volta live show. The release will consist of various live recordings from Paris and Reykjavik. The live CD was also recorded in a studio in London, which will undoubtedly give us some rare glimpse into the development of the live set.

The release will be availble as Standard, Deluxe and Deluxe Vinyl.

Björk did document the tour extensively and now we will be able to enjoy this work in a new light and new sound.

Voltaic will include:

  • DISC ONE (AUDIO) Songs From The Volta Tour Performed Live At Olympic Studios
  • DISC TWO (DVD) The Volta Tour Live In Paris, Live in Reykjavik
  • DISC THREE (DVD) The Volta Videos and the video competition
  • DISC FOUR (CD) The Volta Mixes.

Release date is yet to be confirmed. we predict March! :)

    Smekkleysa SM rekur fína búð að Laugavegi 35 í Reykjavik. Þangað eru allir velkomnir til að skoða skemmtilegt úrval geisladiskum og DVD

    Smekkleysa SM/Bad Taste SM, was established in Iceland in 1986, by a group of young artists and musicians, who had been active since the Icelandic punk explosion in the early eighties. Part of their world domination or death manifesto, was to create a pop band with The Sugarcubes which in turn became the backbone for Smekkleysa SMs activities over the next few years.

    The company has since grown from being an experimental cultural organization into a fully active record company. It has developed and worked with some of Icelands most interesting artists, e.g. The Sugarcubes, Björk, Sigur Rós, múm, Mínus, Ghostigital, Curver, Ske, slowblow, Kimono and Jan Mayen.

    We have a record shop on Laugavegur 35 called Smekkleysa Plötubúð Pötubúð means Recordshop where we have a great selection of music and related stuff. This location is in dead centre of town.

    Currently we operate on-line and have our great terrestrial presence in our shop. Also have a distribution system set up for our releases world wide. And Iceland!
